Putin & The American Right
In December of last year, Russian president Vladimir Putin announced to the world that Russia was and would remain a defender and promoter of traditional moral values. This followed earlier statements he had made to the same effect. He spoke of a growing global tendency that is “revising their moral and ethical norms, erasing their national traditions and the differences between nations and cultures” as well as the eradication of objective moral categories such as good and evil. The historical significance of the form of Vladimir Lenin is too often reduced to the role he played as a communist ideologue, the leader of the Bolshevik movement and possibly founder of the Soviet state, but only superficially seen as the Bolshevik state, the first communist country in the world. Meanwhile, Lenin does not equal communism nor vice versa. For followers of the Communist slogans of equality and human liberation, the political legacy of Lenin must appear to be a very troublesome. Today April 11th 2014 @ 11:00 marked the 48 hour deadlines which the illegal and criminal Junta in Kiev had given as the ultimatum for the break-away republics in Eastern Ukraine to give up and surrender control of vital government buildings.
Today marked a critical juncture in the unfolding Ukraine-Russia scenario.

This interview was made almost ten hours before pro-Russian and anti-Junta people of east Ukraine rose up across the region, storming government buildings and starting the process for a referendum to ultimately rejoin with Russia. In the interview, Mr. Flores describes the reasons for secession and processes that will take place. Rather than seeing a Russian military operation, it is explained that the events last month in Crimea would serve as a template for the events that he predicts will occur in the rest of eastern Ukraine. Mr. Flores has consistently predicted that because Russia has far too many preferable ‘Soft Power’ options to use in Ukraine, that military intervention would only be a last resort, and only then in order to secure new positions already attained, through purely defensive maneuvers, through the use of the Color Revolution tactic by Russia.
