What would our ancestors say or feel about us and our current situation? I mean really think about what I am going to write. And it doesn’t matter what race you are, but I sincerely hope my indigenous brothers and sisters seriously stop, think and soak in what I am about to say. Because the issue we have isn’t a new issue, its that we have been ignoring it, supporting the system and now we cannot exist within this system anymore without clashing with it.  But are we too late?

putin1In December of last year, Russian president Vladimir Putin announced to the world that Russia was and would remain a defender and promoter of traditional moral values. This followed earlier statements he had made to the same effect. He spoke of a growing global tendency that is “revising their moral and ethical norms, erasing their national traditions and the differences between nations and cultures” as well as the eradication of objective moral categories such as good and evil. Why Lenin?

The historical significance of the form of Vladimir Lenin is too often reduced to the role he played as a communist ideologue, the leader of the Bolshevik movement and possibly founder of the Soviet state, but only superficially seen as the Bolshevik state, the first communist country in the world.  Meanwhile, Lenin does not equal communism nor vice versa.  For followers of the Communist slogans of equality and human liberation, the political legacy of Lenin must appear to be a very troublesome.
